Frequently Asked Questions
Do the courses fees include IFS registration?
No, our training fees do not include the ifs
registration, this payment can be made direct to the ifs or you can
register with them through us.
Are there any extra costs that are not include in the
price?
The price you are quoted is the price you pay
with no hidden fees along the way.
Can you help with seeking employment on completion of my
full CeFA qualification?
Yes! We'd be delighted to
help where we can. We have an advisor on hand that can give you guidance and
support in finding employment. We are also affiliated with many
companies within the financial industry looking for fully qualified
Financial Advisors.
However, please note that we strictly do not do go down the "we
guarantee you a job" route in order to get your custom. We would
strongly advise you to take a very cautious approach with any
training company making such promises. Invariably all they are
offering you is a self-employed role but you will pay a pretty
premium for all this. After gaining your CeFA qualifications such roles will not be too hard to come by
yourself. Don't get caught out this way!
I have no financial services background will this be a
problem?
You do not need a mortgage or financial
background to take our CeFA courses. Our part time
weekend course is more suitable for those with absolutely no
financial background. We will take you step by step and provide you
the training you need to pass CeFA . Over the
duration of the course the tutor will support you fully taking you
through all the sections of the vast ifs syllabus.
What if after the training I don’t feel ready to sit the
exam or don’t pass first time?
If for any reason you do
not feel confident enough to take the exam, or if you are
unfortunate not to pass your exam you can still benefit from tutor support
at no extra cost. Terms and conditions
apply.
How do I register with the IFS school of
finance?
You can contact the IFS school of finance on 01227 818609
What is the difference between CeFA and FPC?
CeFA is awarded by the IFS school of finance. FPC
(now replaced by the CFP) is awarded by the Chartered Institute of
Insurers. These are both recognised regulatory courses and they are
on par with each other with regards to the FSA and course
content.
Advantages/disadvantages of each?
With CFP you have
more exams but the syllabus is spread out over these exams so should
be easier to revise for. You can only do the exams at set times with
the CFP so its not as flexible as CeFA exams.
CeFA, on the other
hand, has less exams but means you have to do twice as much work...
especially in CeFA 3. However, you have the added flexibility of
being able to take the exams at anytime and with Pearson vue exam
centres all over the world you aren't limited geographically.
